Title: Discretionary Employment Authorization for U Nonimmigrants | |
Abstract:
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposes to amend its U nonimmigrant status regulations, with respect to bona fide determinations (as provided in section 214(p)(6) of the Immigration and Nationality Act). DHS also may propose changes to the employment authorization process and waiting list. Lastly, DHS proposes to amend its regulations to conform to two pieces of legislation: the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 and the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act of 2013. |
