Title: AbilityOne Program Suitability Determination Recommendation To 41 CFR 51 | |
Abstract:
The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (Committee) is finalizing changes for the determination of suitability applied to the products or services proposed for addition to the AbilityOne Program Procurement List maintained by the Committee. Currently, the Committee considers several factors in the employment potential of a proposed addition and if a qualified nonprofit agency is capable of furnishing the proposed product or service. This final rule will amend the suitability criteria to explicitly include consideration of the payment of minimum wage, prevailing wages, or higher wages to people who are blind or have significant disabilities that work on contracts awarded under the auspices of the AbilityOne Program. |
