OPM RIN: 3206-AN27 Publication ID: Spring 2022
Title: Privacy Procedures for Personnel Records
Abstract:

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) proposes to amend this Privacy Act regulation.  Previously, OPM published an NPRM proposing to add a 60-day timeframe within which individuals may appeal or ask for administrative review when their requests to access or amend their Privacy Act records are initially denied and to clarify or add exemptions for certain Privacy Act systems of records.  In light of the transfer of NBIB to DCSA and Privacy Act guidance from OMB, OPM will review this regulation in its entirety in order to revise it in a manner appropriate to current OPM needs and incorporate more recent Privacy Act guidance.
