Title: ●2023-2024 Harvest Specifications and Management Measures for the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery
Abstract:

Every other year, the Pacific Fishery Management Council makes recommendations to set biennial allowable harvest levels for Pacific Coast groundfish, and recommends management measures for commercial, recreational, and tribal fisheries that are designed to achieve those harvest levels consistent with the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan.  For the 202324 biennium, the Pacific Fishery Management Council has recommended: Harvest specifications, including overfishing limits, acceptable biological catches, and annual catch limits; and Management measures to achieve those specifications. The specifications and management measures that would be forwarded by this action would be in effect from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2024. The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) would implement this rulemaking under the authority of the Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act.
