Title: ●Approval Standards for Combination Unit Respirators 
Abstract:

HHS proposes to amend the Respirator Approval Program regulations in 42 CFR part 84 to add a new subpart P. Subpart P would contain performance standards allowing the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to approve a new class of respiratory protective devices combination unit respirators by incorporating by reference a recently developed National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) consensus standard, NFPA 1987, Standard on Combination Unit Respirator Systems for Tactical and Technical Operations.
