Title: Mandatory Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) Core Set Reporting (CMS-2440) 
Abstract:

This final rule establishes requirements for mandatory reporting of the Core Set of Children’s Health Care Quality Measures for Medicaid and CHIP (Child Core Set), the behavioral health measures on Adult Health Care Quality Measures for Medicaid (Adult Core Set) and the Core Set of Health Care Quality Measures for Medicaid Health Home Programs (Health Home Core Set).

Overall Description of Deadline: The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 made reporting of the Child Core Set mandatory for States beginning in Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024. The Support for Patients and Communities Act (section 5001) made it mandatory for States to report the Adult Behavioral Health Measures on the Adult Core Set beginning in FFY 2024.
