Title: Appeals From Administrative Actions ("BIA Admin. Appeals Reg.") | |
Abstract:
This rule would clarify the processes for appeals of actions taken by officials in the Office of the Assistant Secretary Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education, and Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians (collectively, Indian Affairs). The rule would advance the purposes of E.O. 14058 to effectively reduce administrative burdens, simplify both public-facing and internal processes to improve efficiency, and empower the Federal workforce to solve problems. The rule would streamline the process for appeals of Tribal government representative decisions, to ensure the continued government-to-government relations with the appropriate Tribal leadership is not unduly interrupted. |
