Title: Modernizing the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act Regulations | |
Abstract:
The McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act requires federal contractors and subcontractors performing services on prime contracts in excess of $2,500 to pay service employees in various classes of labor no less than the wage rates and fringe benefits found prevailing in the locality, as determined by the Department of Labor, or the rates contained in a predecessor contractor’s collective bargaining agreement. The Department proposes to update and modernize the regulations implementing the Service Contract Act to provide greater clarity and enhance their usefulness in the modern economy. |
