Title: Great Lakes Pilotage Rates--2023 Annual Review and Revisions to Methodology | |
Abstract:
Pursuant to the Great Lakes Pilotage Act, the Coast Guard must review rates for pilotage services on the Great Lakes by March 1 of each year. This rulemaking would adjust the pilotage rates to account for changes in district operating expenses, an increase in the number of pilots, and anticipated inflation. For this 2023 ratemaking, the Coast Guard accepted comments on the entire ratemaking methodology, including suggestions for improving the staffing model. |
