DHS/USCBP RIN: 1651-AB03 Publication ID: Fall 2022
Title: Continuing Education Requirements for Customs Brokers
Abstract:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is amending the CBP regulations that would establish a continuing education requirement for licensed customs brokers.  The amendments would also allow CBP to accredit a limited number of organizations to evaluate and approve courses offered to meet the continuing education requirement.  The continuing education requirement will increase professionalism within the broker community, enhance the subject matter expertise of brokers, keep brokers up to date on current customs laws and regulations, and improve overall trade compliance.
