Title: ●Reconsideration of Motorcoach Rollover Structural Integrity Final Rule | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking would respond to multiple petitions for reconsideration of NHTSA's December 29, 2021, final rule promulgating a new Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 227 for rollover structural integrity requirements for motorcoaches and large buses. Specifically, the petitioners request that NHTSA reconsider issues related to transit bus definition, ballasting, small parts criterion, lead time, applicability to medium size and school buses, and consideration of floor and seat strength requirements. |
