Title: 2023-2024 Multifamily Enterprise Housing Goals 
Abstract:

The final rule will amend the Enterprise Housing Goals regulation, and make other changes to the regulation as needed.  Sections 1331 through 1333 of the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 (12 U.S.C. 4561 through 4563) require the Director to establish annual single-family housing goals for mortgage purchases by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac covering at most a three-year period, as well as annual multifamily housing goals for mortgage purchases by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  In 2021, FHFA amended the Housing Goals regulation to establish single-family housing goals for 2022-2024, and multifamily housing goals for 2022.  This rule will amend the existing Housing Goals regulation to establish annual multifamily housing goals for 2023-2024.
