Title: ●Federal Travel Regulation (FTR); FTR Case 2022-02, Relocation Allowance-Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expenses (TQSE)
Abstract:

The United States (U.S.) General Services Administration (GSA) is proposing to amend the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) by implementing a third methodology for reimbursing temporary quarters subsistence expenses (TQSE) allowance and redefining the current methods of reimbursing TQSE. The proposed rule would clarify that  TQSE percentage calculations are not to be adjusted for house hunting days. The proposed rule would also authorize agencies to temporarily waive the "reasonable proximity” requirement for temporary quarter locations and rates to be used for Presidentially-Declared Disaster areas. The proposed rule would also update and clarify TQSE sections and rearrange into a more sequential order.
