Title: SCORE Program
Abstract:

The SCORE Program was launched in 1964 to assist small businesses. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, scale, and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. It is authorized by the Small Business Act. Since its creation, the SCORE program has changed through a number of public laws. There are currently no regulations governing the program; the program is governed by the terms and conditions in the cooperative agreements between SBA and SCORE. The NPRM will propose various program requirements and procedures for SCORE as outlined in the statute including: use of Federal funds; standards for effectively carrying out program duties and responsibilities; use of client data as stipulated in statute; and requirements for reporting on financial and programmatic performance.
