SBA RIN: 3245-AH22 Publication ID: Fall 2022
Title: The Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Program - Regulatory Improvements and Modernization
Abstract:

On August 15, 2017, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) published a request for information seeking input from the public on SBA regulations that should be repealed, replaced, or modified because they are obsolete, unnecessary, or burdensome (82 FR 38617). During FY2018, SBA held roundtables with SBIC program stakeholders to solicit additional feedback regarding SBIC program regulations. This proposed rule would update SBIC program regulations to reflect SBA policy and provide clarification in response to the notice published at 82 FR 38617 and as part of the roundtables. In addition, the proposed rule would propose language to modernize and clarify existing SBIC program regulations.
