Title: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR); FAR Case 2021-016, Minimizing the Risk of Climate Change in Federal Acquisitions 
Abstract:

DoD, GSA, and NASA are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement section 5(b)(ii) of Executive Order 14030, Climate-Related Financial Risk.  Section 5(b)(ii) directs the FAR Council to consider amending the FAR to ensure that major agency procurements minimize the risk of climate change and to require consideration of the social cost of greenhouse gas emissions in procurement decisions for major agency procurements.
