Abstract:
HHS proposes to amend its regulations concerning the importation of dogs from high-risk rabies countries into the United States (U.S.). The proposed rule will outline requirements regarding an importation system that will reduce fraud and improve the U.S. government’s ability to verify U.S. entry requirements and mitigate the introduction of dogs infected with rabies and other communicable diseases of public health concern.
