Abstract:
The Magnet Schools Assistance program provides grants to eligible local educational agencies to establish and operate magnet schools that are operated under a court-ordered or federally approved voluntary desegregation plan. Regulations governing this program were last issued in 2012. The Department plans to issue proposed regulations to support local educational agencies in establishing and operating magnet schools that incorporate evidence-based designs and strategies that have been shown to both increase diversity and improve outcomes for students. |
