Abstract: DoD, GSA, and NASA are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement section 5949(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Pub. L. 117-263) to prohibit executive agencies from: (1) procuring or obtaining, or extending or renewing a contract to procure or obtain, any electronic parts, products, or services that include covered semiconductor products or services; or (2) entering into a contract, or extending or renewing a contract, with an entity to procure or obtain electronic parts or products that include covered semiconductor products or services.
