Title: Travel Management, Appeals Process, and Land Uses | |
Abstract:
Purely technical, nondiscretionary revisions are needed to certain sections of the Forest Service’s regulations, specifically, 36 CFR 212.8, 214.4, 251.53, 251.55, 251.57, 251.60, and 251.64, to correct citations and other errors, update citations, enhance clarity in the use of punctuation, ensure or enhance consistency with the governing statute, and update terminology. These purely technical, nondiscretionary changes do not formulate standards, criteria, and guidelines applicable to Forest Service programs and therefore do not require public notice and comment under section 14(a) of the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974 (16 U.S.C. 1612(a)). This rule will meet the Administration's priority to improve service delivery, customer experience, and reduce administrative burdens for those accessing public benefits and services. |
