Overall Description of Deadline: Under section 3505 of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA), the Secretary of Health and Human Services shall promulgate proposed regulations to establish and require standardized testing methods for detecting and identifying asbestos in talc-containing cosmetic products. The proposed rule is to issue not later than one year after MoCRA's enactment, which would be December 29, 2023. |
