Title: Waste Prevention, Production Subject to Royalties, and Resource Conservation | |
Abstract:
This rule proposes updates to the BLM’s existing rules governing the venting and flaring of natural gas (methane) from onshore Federal and Indian oil and gas leases. The rulemaking will address the priorities associated with Executive Order 14008 to address tackling the climate crisis. Per Executive Order 13990, the rule will address reducing methane emissions in the oil and gas sector. |
