Abstract:

In response to Executive Order 14008, Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad, the Department of the Interior prepared Report on the Federal Oil and Gas Leasing Program. The report stated that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, through a new "Fitness to Operate" standard, would establish safety, environmental, and financial responsibilities for companies to meet in order to operate on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf.
