Title: Special Regulations; Katmai National Park and Preserve; Bicycles and Motorboats | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would revise the special regulations for Katmai National Park and Preserve to codify in 36 CFR existing closures that prohibit bicycle use in the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes and motorboats on the Brooks River. These restrictions are necessary to protect the fundamental resource values within the park. This proposed rule would be informed by civic engagement and public participation opportunities throughout the park planning process. The Park’s Headquarters is located in King Salmon, Alaska. |
