DOJ/DEA RIN: 1117-AB53 Publication ID: Fall 2023
Title: Implementation of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018
Abstract:

DEA issued an interim final rule amending its regulations to implement the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, Public Law 115-334, specifically by amending the definitions of hemp and marihuana, and the listings of tetrahydrocannabinols. This rule conformed DEA’s regulations to the statutory amendments to the Controlled Substances Act that have already taken effect, and did not add additional requirements to the regulations. DEA is planning to adopt a final rule after consideration of the public comments.
