Abstract:
The Drug Enforcement Administration proposes to revise its existing regulations to allow registered Hospitals/Clinics to install and operate automatic dispensing systems in Long Term Care Facilities, where permitted under state law to do so. By doing so, DEA will address industry needs that will ultimately benefit patient care in LTCF. DEA plans to engage with hospital systems, pharmacy professionals and associations, patient advocacy groups, underserved communities, and other third parties, to guide the revisions to its existing regulations. |
