Title: Electronic Chart and Navigation Equipment Carriage Requirements  
Abstract:

This rulemaking would modify the chart and navigational equipment requirements in titles 33 and 46 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The Coast Guard would revise the chart and navigational equipment carriage requirements for all commercial U.S.-flagged vessels and foreign-flagged vessels operating in the waters of the United States to allow for the use of electronic charts.
