Title: GAO Approval of Records Schedules 
Abstract:

Updating 1225.20 and removing 1225.12(h) to reduce the administrative burden on agencies related to the General Records Schedules (GRS) and the General Accounting Office (GAO). Agencies will only be required to obtain GAO approval for deviations from the GRS 1.1, item 010, accountable officer records. They do not need GAO approval for deviations for other parts of the GRS. Furthermore, they do not need GAO approval for program records schedules less than 3 years old.
