Title: ●Digitizing Temporary Federal Records | |
Abstract:
In June 2023, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) made available GRS Transmittal 34, which introduced GRS 4.5 Digitizing Records. As a result, we are updating the regulations found in 36 CFR 1236.36 to ensure proper authorization for disposing of temporary records that have been digitized. Additionally, we are harmonizing the language used in all of 36 CFR subpart D with the newly published 36 CFR 1236 subpart E. |
