Title: Charitable Donation Accounts 
Abstract:

On May 31, 2023, the NCUA Board published a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to permit federal credit unions to make donations through a charitable donation account, as defined in 12 CFR 721.3(b)(2), to certain veterans groups defined under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The NPRM also asked stakeholders what other groups should be permissible recipients of donations through a charitable donation account. The public comment period has closed. The Board will review the comments and consider final action.
