Terms of Clearance:
A review and comparison of the 1982 National health Interview Survey with the 1981 survey suggests that total burden hours are underestimat for the 1982 survey. The estimated total burden hours of annual burden in the 1982 sruvey has been revised rom the suggested 24,578 upward to 32,000 hours. This total is equal to the amount of burden estimated for the 1981 National Health Interview Survey.

Abstract:
THE 1982 NHIS WILL OBTAIN DATA ON THE UTILIZATION OF HEALTH SERVICES, THE MAGNITUDE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ILLNESS AND THE EFFECTS OF ILLNESS I THE U.S. POPULATION. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING A SET OF REVISED HEALTH-RELATED QUESTIONS INCLUDING SUPPLEMENTS ON "HEALTH INSURANCE" AND "PREVENTIVE CARE."
