Abstract:
30 CFR 882 - THIS PART HAS BEEN REVISED SO THAT THE STATES OR TRIBES ARE GIVEN THE DISCRETIONARY AUTHORITY TO PLACE OR WAIVE LIENS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR OWN PROCEDURES SO LONG AS THE USE OF THE DISCRETIONARY AUTHORITY COMPLIES WITH THE INTENT OF SECTION 408 SMCRA. WHERE LIENS DO NOT APPLY STATES OR TRIBES ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO DO APPRAISALS.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
