This request for clearance is approved. The OMB inventory, however, will continue to carry the burden hours (250) for the existing reporting requirments until such time as this proposed rule is issued as a final regulation. At that time PBGC should notify OMB by means of a correction worksheet that the rule has become final and that the burden should be adjusted to a new lower level. Should the collection of information requirements in this proposal be modifie in the final issuance of the rule, the final rule will need to be resubmited for review.

Abstract:
THE CURRENT REGULATION PROVIDES FOR THE REPORTING OF INFORMATION INDICATING FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES OF PENSION PLAN OR PLAN SPONSOR. THE REGULATION WAIVES CERTAIN STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS, THIS AMENDMENT WAIVES OR LIMITS ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND MAKES CLEAR THAT THE REGULATION ONLY APPLIES TO SINGLE-EMPLOYER PLANS.
