THE BUREAU USES THIS RECORD AS A TOOL IN TRACING AMMUNITION MANUFACTUR AND DISTRIBUTED FOR CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS IN VIOLENT CRIMES AS WELL AS A TOOL IN THE AUDIT TRAIL DURING COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS TO TEST THE LICENSEES COMPLIANCE WITH THE GUN CONTROL ACT OF 1968.
