Abstract:
FORM IS NEEDED FOR TAXPAYERS TO CLAIM A DEDUCTION FOR DEPRECIATION AND/OR AMORTIZATION ON THEIR INCOME TAX RETURN. ALL INFORMATION REQUESTED IS USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER TAXPAYERS HAVE CALCULATED THEIR ACRS DEDUCTION CORRECTLY, MADE A PROPER ELECTION UNDER SECTIONS 168 AND 179, AND HAVE MET SUBSTANTIATION REQUIREMENTS.
