Abstract:
SECTION 5 OF THE TOXIC SUBSTANCES ACT PROVIDES EPA WITH A REGULATORY MECHANISM TO MONITOR AND, IF NECESSARY, CONTROL SIGNIFICANT NEW USES OF CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES. ONCE A USE IS DESIGNATED AS A SIGNIFICANT NEW NEW, A PERSON MUST, AT LEAST 90 DAYS PRIOR TO COMMENCING THAT USE, NOTIFY EPA OF THEIR INTENTIONS BY SUBMITTING A PREMANUFACTURE NOTIFICATION FORM.
