THE INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO ASSE ANNUALLY THE POPULATION STATUS OF WOODCOCK. THE INFORMATION IS USED PRINCIPALLY BY FEDERAL AND STATE CONSERVATION AGENCIES INCLUDING CANADIAN, TO GUIDE THE ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT OF REGULATIONS STATE CONSERVATION AGENCIES.
