Abstract:
SECTION 522 OF THE ACT REQUIRES A FEDERAL LANDS PROGRAM BE ESTABLISHED TO GOVERN SURFACE COAL MINING AND RECLAMATION OPERATIONS ON FEDERAL LANDS. THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IS NEEDED TO ASSIST THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY IN DETERMINING THE ELIGIBILI OF THE APPLICANT AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACT.
