THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS RESEARCH IN MOST SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINES, SCIENCE EDUCATION, AND RESEARCH POLICY. THIS SUPPORT IS MADE THROUGH GRANTS, CONTRACTS, AND OTHER AGREEMENTS AWARDED TO UNIVERSITIES, UNIVERSITY CONSORTIA, NONPROFIT, AND OTHER RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS.
