The revised burden hour estimate has not been approved because BATF has not provided any explanation for the decrease. There also is a discrepancy between the burden hour estimate on Item #13 of the supporting statement (4 hours) and on the form (3 hours). This discrepancy shall be resolved upon the next submission of the package for review. Should BATF want to revise the burden hour estimate before that time, it may submit an Inventory Correction Worksheet with a justification for the program decrease.

Abstract:
THE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT REQUIRES THAT THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THIS FORM BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY FOR A TAX-EXEMPT TRANSFER OF A NFA FIREARM. APPROVAL OF THE FORM AMENDS THE RECORD IN THE NATIONAL FIREARMS REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER RECORD TO SHOW THE CURRENT OWNER OF THE FIREARM.
