Abstract:
46 U.S.C. 7315 AUTHORIZES THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE COURSES WHICH SATISFY REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS, SUBSTITUTE FOR SEA EXPERIENCE, OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS. THIS INFORMATION REQUIREMENT PERMITS THE COLLECTION OF CURRICULA, FACILITY INSPECTIONS, AND OTHER MATERIALS NECESSARY FOR THOROUGH EVALUATIONS FOR APPROVAL.
