Abstract:
THE PRIVATE SCHOOL SURVEY (PSS) IS A NATIONAL SURVEY OF PRIVATE ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS. THIS DATA COLLECTION ACTIVITY IS INTENDED TO BUILD AN NCES UNIVERSE FRAME OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND TO GENERATE BIANNUAL DATA ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS, TEACHERS, AND STUDENTS. THESE DATA HAVE BEEN COLLECTED SINCE THE 1989-90 ACADEMIC YEAR.
