Abstract:
THE AFIDA OF 1978 REQUIRES FOREIGN PERSONS TO TIMELY REPORT HELD, ACQUIRED, OR TRANSFERRED U.S. AGRICULTURAL LAND UNDER PENALTY OF LAW. THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS UTILIZED IN THE PREPARATION OF REPORTS TO CONGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT CONCERNING THE EFFECT OF SUCH HOLDINGS UPON FAMILY FARMS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES.
