Abstract:
SECTION 17A(C)(1) OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE ACT OF 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78Q) REQUIRES A BANK TO REGISTER WITH THE APPROPRIATE FEDERAL BANK REGULATOR PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANY TRANSFER AGENT FUNCTION. UNDER FDIC REGULATION 12 CFR 341, AN INSURED NONMEMBER BANK USES FORM TA-1 TO REGISTER WITH THE FDIC.
