Abstract:
These regulations apply to all commercial fishing industry vessels, seamen on such vessels and underwriters of insurance on such vessels. The information required to be collected is mandated and the information required to be posted is expected to reduce the unacceptably high rate of casualties. Additionally, they will act as a means of verifying compliance with the regulations and to enhance the safe operation of fishing vessels.
