Terms of Clearance:
Approved consistent with and as amended by NSF memos of 5/5/99 and 5/6/99. NSF agrees that before implementing the next iteration of the original survey on Scientific and Engineering Research Facilities at Colleges and Universities, NSF will be submitting a package that consolidates both the original survey and the follow-up surney and accounts for the burden hours of both. Therefore, this approval is for 1 year and approves the 88 hours required to implement the follow-up survey.

Abstract:
This survey will provide data on the construction of scientific and engineering research facilities costing at least $25 million as required in OMB Circular A-21 revision dated June 1998. Data will be collected on: Total project costs, non-fixed equipment cost, total gross square footage, total net assignable square footage (NASF), research NASF, space assignment by field, and any special features that significantly impact total project costs.
