Abstract:
These standards apply to owners and operators of chemical manufacturing plants, coke by-product recovery plants, and petroleum refineries, as well as owners and operators of hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities that treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste generated from the above facilities. The standards require waste treatment and air emission controls at those facilities that do not qualify for specific exemptions. Each facility that manages 10 mg/yr or more of the benzene in their waste must initially determine which streams must be controlled.
