Approved for two years. OSHA is currently conducting a 610 review of the PSDI rule, which may result in changes to the Standard. If employers begin to use the PSDI, OSHA must submit a Change Worksheet Request (83-I) to OMB to account for the increase in burden.

Abstract:
Presence sensing device initiation (PSDI0 is no longer prohibited. To assure the safety of the system, the rule requires a certification program. Manufacturers and employers who choose to use PSDI will have to maintain some records in order to meet the requirements of the standard.
