OMB appreciates the progress CJIS has made towards developing an estimation procedure for this collection and for its efforts in collaborating with BJS. OMB further appreciates that CJIS has identified areas in which it -- in collaboration with BJS -- will focus on in the near to medium term for improving this collection (see "Limitations and Future Improvements" section of the estimation model document included in this ICR). OMB requests that CJIS keep it apprised of progress in addressing these areas over the 3 years in which this collection is approved -- and requests that CJIS provide OMB a status update at least annually or at important milestones.
