The information collected through this generic Information Collection Request will not be used to make generalizable statements about the population of interest or to inform public policy; however, methodological findings may be reported." As with OMB number 0920-0222, for each individual collection, CDC will submit to OMB a mini-supporting statement that includes the elements of Parts A and B that are specific to the GenIC. OMB will strive to provide feedback on the individual collections within ten working days, whenever possible. Standard remuneration of respondents for congantive testing is $40.00.. Higher remunerations may be requested with justification for difficult recruitments, focus groups, etc.

Abstract:
The NCHS conducts the National Health Care Surveys, a family of nationally representative surveys of encounters and health care providers in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings. This information collection request (ICR) is for the extension of a generic clearance to conduct developmental studies to improve this family of surveys.
